"Create a society in which all mankind can thrive without limit, hope beyond imagination, and live in harmony with the universe."
Within the Museum of Tomorrow, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, there is an inscription one wall inside the museum that reads as follows: "In order to build this world of ours we must restore the humanity stolen from those whom History subjected to processes of abstraction and objectification."
Black Roses intend to exist as an organization that takes this social dictate on as a national mandate. Thus, creating Our goal: "Restore the humanity stolen from those who were once subjected to processes of abstraction and objectification."
We will strive to restore to communities of color the humanity that was stolen. We will do this by establishing an apparatus for creating economic and political power through social means for those of African American descent, and for those who love us for who we are, via organized social events in the form of public and private events to positively impact the social, financial, and political well-being of the communities we live in.
This is a tremendous undertaking, but the current economic, social, and political conditions of this country engulfing the African American community nationally suggest such a social movement is necessary of Black, Brown, and Colored people intent on guiding our own lives in this world.
Let us all hope that the humanity once stolen from those whom History subjected to processes of abstraction and objectification will one day be fully restored.
We are a beautiful collection of Men and Women of color, uniting for the common good of all God's people and advocating for the upward movement of all things good, loving, and pleasant.
We associate ourselves with the color Black to honor our varied heritages and our resulting skin tones. We are a social club focused on activities that empower and sustain our social, economic, and political well-being.
Black is the strongest color in the universe, symbolizing strength and perseverance. We are Black by God's design, and welcome everyone who loves us exactly as God has designed us.
We also have a deep connection with the city of Roseville, California, either through geographical circumstances or community attraction. The rose has long been the symbol of the city of Roseville; thus, we refer to ourselves as Roses. Combined, we are Black Roses.
The Black Baccara Rose is a dark burgundy velvet-like rose and is the symbol of hope, optimism, and high expectation through unity. As a social club, we will exist as a public image of hope, optimism, and high expectation.
